VBB - Virtual Bread Board

VirtualBreadboard is a simulation and development environment for embedded applications that use microcontrollers. It is easy to use and can replace a protoboard for experimenting with new designs.

VBB simulates many of the PIC16 and PIC18 microcontroller devices with now Arduino emulation. In addition a wide variety of simulated components such as
  • LCD’s
  • Servos
  • logic
  • Stepper
  • Connectors
  • Led Arrays
  • Switches
  • EEPROM
  • DAC
other IO devices that can be used to model and simulate high level circuits.

Download the software from here

EdSim51's 8051 Simulator

EdSim is a simulator developed to simulate 8051 micro controllers. This application is a Java application. That means you have to install JRE (Java Run-time Environment) in order to make this simulator work. You can do the programs here that is done in the 8051 trainerkit. You dont need to install this Java app. Just unzip it and use it.The student can write 8051 assembly code, step through the code and observe the effects each line has on the internal memory and the external peripherals.

Other Features of this simulator are:

  • Analogue-to-Digital Converter (ADC)
  • Comparator
  • UART
  • 4 Multiplexed 7-segment Displays
  • 4 X 3 Keypad
  • 8 LEDs
  • DC Motor
  • 8 Switches
  • Digital-to-Analogue Converter (DAC) - displayed on oscilloscope

Here shows a video in which i have generated a ramp out put through simulator. The code can be obtained here.

Type the code in the simulator.Assemble it and press Run button. The video below explains every thing.

8086 microprocessor emulator

This program is extremely helpful for those who just begin to study assembly language. It compiles the source code and executes it on emulator step by step.

Visual interface is very easy to work with. You can watch registers, flags and memory while your program executes. Arithmetic & Logical Unit (ALU) shows the internal work of the central processor unit (CPU).

Emulator runs programs on a Virtual PC, this completely blocks your program from accessing real hardware, such as hard-drives and memory, since your assembly code runs on a virtual machine, this makes debugging much easier.

8086 machine code is fully compatible with all next generations of Intel's micro-processors, including Pentium II and Pentium 4, I'm sure Multi core will support 8086 as well.

Here are some key features of "Emu8086 Microprocessor Emulator":

· Everything to study Computer Architecture and coding in Assembly Language
· Complete software emulation of Intel's 8086 microprocessor
· Interactive Debugger and Disassembler
· Step-by-step Assembly Language Tutorials
· Integrated 8086 ASSEMBLER
· Advanced Source Editor with Syntax Highlight

The 8086 Emulator can be downloaded from here
